ANSWER
- A. ackones
Animals obtain their food and energy by consuming other organisms. Through animals differ in many characteristics, each if the plays an important role in our ecosystem. They are able to grow, move, reproduce, metabolize, respond to stimuli, and adapt to their environment.
Animals can be divided into two to groups these are: verterates and inverterates. The difference between this to groups is the presence of a backbone. Vertebrates have backbones while invertebrates do not. Organisms under these two groups can be further categorized based on their anatomy, feeding habits, movement, reproduction, components of organ systems, adaptions, and more.
For More Information:
The presence of the backbone, is the common characteristic among verterates. The backbone provides/contains axial support ans houses the spinal cord. At the end of the spinal cord is the enlarged brain.
Most animals you see around you are vertebrates: birds, cats, dogs, cows, lizards, frogs, and many more. Even humans are vertebrates! Since the vertebrate group is large and diverse, it can be subdivided into five groups: fishes, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
